I did a rescan of broadcast channels in my area & discovered that there's a new station, acting as an RTV affiliate. My timing was nearly perfect, as they're broadcasting several hours of old cartoons, harkening back to the classic days of saturday morning toons. I missed fat albert, but I was in time for the rest. Right now filmation's ghostbusters is on, followed by the archies, then brave starr, he-man, and she-ra.

...and as I'm writing this, I realize that all the toons on this morning are filmation ones. Interesting....

The one drawback of this channel is that it's a low power station, so it's tricky to pull in.

Wow, that's awesome! What other shows did they show aside from the ones you mentioned?

I think they're showing Fat Albert as well.

Yeah, like I said in my first post, I had just missed fat albert.

Those were the only cartoons they showed, though they also had some black beauty series from the UK & the lassie series from the 50s or 60s (both live-action).

Here's the schedule for my local RTV channel: http://wleptv.com/9-1/program-schedule/

One thing that was really nice about it was that there were very few commercials. Only one commercial break per half hour toon, and only a couple commercials during said break. The commercials were so few in fact, that they had to fill in space with a ~5 minute cartoon after each show. They were mostly these old dick tracy cartoons, though there was also a pinocchio stop motion short, and a couple of these old wizard of oz ones.

Unfortunately, saturday morning seems to be the only time they have anything halfway decent. Still, 3hrs of good stuff a week is more than any other broadcast network can claim.

              I can agree with that.

I saw RTV's Saturday morning line-up a few times. Recently though, my local NBC dropped its RTV subchannel and replaced it with MeTV. MeTV seems to be very similar to RTV, but I haven't a lot of time to watch.

RTV isn't that great. They do have some obscure stuff that is fun to watch once in awhile. I like Antenna TV and Me-TV better.

I saw a live stream of RTV online a long time ago & they had some good stuff then (like emergency & adam 12), but that stream went offline too soon & now that I have a broadcast version of it, that saturday stuff seems to be the only good stuff.

I have no access to Me-TV or Antenna TV here. Hell, no regular stations even have the RTV, it's a station some guy set up just for the purpose of RTV. It also has 2 subchannels (although all 3 are 480i, so there isn't really a "main" channel at all, but... *shrug*), one has "tuff tv" (which is really extremely boring, unless you love sports), and the other is really old movies.

We didn't really gain anything around here with the digital switch. Aside from this recent addition, the only new channels we got were a couple PBS sub channels.
What's weird though is that the local NBC and CBS channels have each other as a subchannel, plus they both have the same CW feed as a subchannel. (Apparently the local NBC and CBS affiliates are owned by the same company. There also seems to be a connection between the local ABC and FOX affiliates.) The NBC one has an HD NBC feed, an SD CBS feed, and an SD CW feed. The CBS one has an HD CBS feed, an SD NBC feed, and the same SD CW feed.

Surprised noone mentioned QUBO. I get that station over here in NJ and they have a "Night Owl" schedule (late at night of course) which includes He-Man, She-Ra, Bravestarr, and Filmation Ghostbusters!

Qubo only exists here as limited programming on ION and PBS, all of which is nothing but e/i preschool level stuff.
