Ya know, television for children is moderatley depressing these days. I mean, do you remember comming home from school and watching nova or reading rainbow. Or even the sitcoms I used to enjoy as a kid like perfect strangers were cleaner in language and content then the shows nowdays are. Maybe im an ole fogey (25) but I just remember seeing more actual "content" in shows back then. Not just the fart jokes and distasteful junk in todays "childrens programming". Bleh im just ranting, excuse me, but I sure wish our kids had the same opportunity for innocence we had when they turned on that tv.

After school specials 4 the win.

I'm eighteen, and I think that. You're not old, trust me.

You mean the days where shows taught good morals, that learning was cool, and it wasn't socially acceptable to go around acting like a complete ass in public? Yeah, those days are long gone.

The only shows still doing that are so blatantly sugar coated its not even funny. They seem to have forgotten that you can be SUBTLE about instilling good morals and a love of life into people without beating it into them.

Well I think it was about the time that Barney came around that things changed. I have no vendetta per se against barney, but in tune with the topic it was about THAT time that it went from innosence and morals to sugar candy coded BS. I could go further but it mind offend people.

I HAVE A VENDETTA AGAINST BARNEY.

I miss Under the Umbrella Tree. I remember one epsisode where they were tap-dancing, and my dad explained to me why their feet were never shown. Those puppets sure had me fooled!

              Iggy was awesome.
