Okay, so as Nippy stated on another therad, it seems that Disney is running out of ideas for cartoons/shows. I agree e.g. "Home on the Range". So what other ideas could Disney have tried?

You know Disney never made a movie (that I know of) on Rumplestiltskin or Rapunzel. That would be good.

Also, if anyone ever watched "Sleeping Beauty", there is a part where the fairies are trying to figure out a way to save baby Aurora from the curse. One fairy suggests that they can turn her into a flower because a flower has no fingers and therefore she can't prick them. But then another fairy reminds her that Maleficent always sends a frost and they say "She always ruins your nicest flowers".
So that seems that some other princesses were frozen (killed?) by Maleficent, maybe Disney can make a movie on how they would be saved if they are still frozen and not dead. Kinda like a sequel. Okay sounds like a bad idea, lol, but I would watch it. I always wondered about that part.

I think they could make a movie about the gingerbread boy. Or did they already make a short about that.

Maybe they could make a film about a wizard that wants to cover the world in another ice age, and some intrepid heroes have to stop him.

Although out of all the direct to video sequels "Sleeping Beauty 2: Let's thaw this frigid b****" sounds pretty entertaining.

Pretty good idea. It could have been a good adventure film. It seemed that for awhile Disney was exploring different cultures. Pocahontas (Native Americans), Chinese w/Mulan, Aladdin, etc.

Has Disney ever done a version of the "Snow Queen"? I still think there are many more stories they can explore.

You're right why didn't I think of that? they should make movies of all the different Disney shows that didn't have an ending.

I'd like to see a third 'Rescuers' movie. I can't really think of a good location for it, though. Maybe Africa, except that Disney does Africa to death.

Let's see, Disney's done rural Africa, Australia, colonial America, Peru during the Incan Empire, plenty of Medieval Europe, the Middle East, China, the Mesozoic Era, Unda the Sea...

Have they done outer space? Or maybe they can venture into the microscopic workings of the human body. They're completely missing out on the charming aspects of food's magical journey through the small intestine.

Yeah Disney did a space movie...it was something like Treasure Island...it was called "Treasue Planet". I barely recalled it, that was another movie that fell under the radar. Wow, Disney really did bite the last few years.

I really enjoyed "Fantastic Voyage" as a kid, so why not make a movie inside the human body?

                          Gummi Bears the movie.

And the Pied Pipper would make a good one.

Anything that’s NOT a squeal! Id personally like to see them do something on Ancient Egypt. Theirs numerous legends they could work on from that era if they dont change TOO much like they did to Herc.

I think Disney needs to start producing some more dramatic stories and not the comedies that Pixar has been coming out with. Disney's already done prehistoric stuff (Dinosaurs, Ice Age...) and Dreamworks has covered a lot of the other areas (The Prince of Egypt, Anastasia, etc.) But I wouldn't mind seeing Disney try to tackle related areas. I'd be happy if they simply left all the formulaic plots at the door (how many times can we have the ambitious kids disobeying their parents theme in one decade?)

We can't forget all the other stuff Disney is doing now- making movies for their series on Disney Channel, live action movies, and all the great stuff they do for their parks and resorts on a daily basis. Good stuff, but they need to get back to what made them so successful.

                              Good topic.

Disney should make a movie about Dinosaurs, the series.

I don;t think that will happen as they all die in the last series. If it does happen maybe they'll come back as ghosts.

Disney should make another Ducktales film, A darkwing duck franchise and more goofy movies.

Journey to the Center of the Earth

                                    Jason and the Argonauts

Maybe something like an animated version of 1776

Maybe a animated depiction of the heroes of the Civil War, but they would have to try not to offend blacks.

I had this idea for a film that would follow a boy accidentally shrinking himself, which leads to him going inside his friend's body.

Or, they could do a movie about a boy and/or a girl running away from Germany to find refuge in France, but instead they get caught up with the Resistance. I don't know how they'll pull it off without offending Germans, though.
