I've been browsing around this site all day (slow day at work). I was just thinking about an episode of Step by Step, where Cody surprises everyone, including himself, by demonstrating some martial arts abilities. I saw this episode like once maybe twice and anytime I see the show again I hope that it is this episode. I remember the first time I saw it I was like totally in shock cause I wasn't expecting that at all. Anyone else remember this?

Sasha Mitchell (or whatever his name was) practiced martial arts in real life - so it wasn't surprising.

Cody was my favorite character! Didn't he have a crush on Dana?

Any moment Cody could be used as the "surprise" hero and get the audience screaming was when he broke out the martial arts. It was always used to save Dana though cus he had a crush on her. She would always shun him and tell him to go away, then lo and behold he shows up to save the day.

I remember when Dana was at some club and these guys were hitting on her then he shows up to kick some pretend ass. Then there was the bus station or something this guy was hitting on Dana and he shows up and kicks some vending machine to scare the dude away.

I rememeber him beating a bunch of bikers with a mop, and kicking one guy through a glass door. Then he stood there like "Whoa!! I'm better at this than I thought. *trademarked Cody dorky chuckle*"..and he WAS in Kickboxer movies 2, 3, and 4, if anybody saw them.

Cody was my mum's favourite.
It's crazy how he "left" the show because he went to prison.

Yea Cody's got insane martial arts fighting ability, i think its kind of kickboxerish. He was in some martial arts type action movies too, not sure if it wa sbefore, during or after step by step but im sure some were before because he looked younger in some.

lol apparently they were a series of movies called "Kickboxer" and then some subtitle under them. 2 before and 2 after step by step.

Yeah, that scumbag went to jail for beating his wife. She was expecting their baby in 3 months when it happened.
