Does anyone remember this one?
I believe it was aired around 1995-1997 or so

There was a group of teenagers from high school who had their own band, the guitar player was their "leader", they practiced in his basement. Some guy from their school (I believe his name was Malcom in the serie, bit creepy looking) who they couldn't get along with, found a living cyber creature on the internet who wanted to take over the world by destroying certain computer networks by attacking them in cyberspace. The Malcom guy made monster designs on his computer and the creature turned them alive in cyberspace. The band members could go into cyberspace as well, by playing a certain tone on their instrument they got sucked into the computer, the guitar player got an armor and became bigger, the others rode various vehicles which could be equiped to the big guy when he needed them.
The Malcom guy knew who the band members were, but they didn't know he made those monsters.

I can't remember the story at all, but it was a lot like Power Rangers.

no it wasn't the VR troopers, but the guy with the guitar looked like a vr trooper when he was transformed

While I don't tend to think of it as old, since it didn't come out until my college years, I thought that one was pretty entertaining.

Unexpected in a "kids' show", when the main hero's girlfriend lost a pendant or something down her clevage, and Sam (the main hero in question), asks with puppydog eyes, "can I help you look for it?"


Anyway.. very pretty toys, taken from the Gridman series in japan. I still have them sitting on an endtable, flanking a lamp.
