I remember the theme...I know I used to watch it...but I really can't recall what the whole show was about! I don't even remember the words to the theme except the melody to it. Tur-key Turkey T-V.

Anyone else watch?

It was somwhat like YCDTOTV. It even had some of the same people.

I will admit that even though I watched the show, I cant remember all that much about it other than the cartoon turkey. Its very hard to find even a copy of the theme song on the web.

I have one episode of this on tape somewhere. My favorite segments were the one with Mr. Fuddle, the biggest liar of all and the dentist that all the kids were scared of. They also used to show these cheesy 80's videos.

Turkey Television used to be rather an interesting clip compilation series for it's time, and something that was also unusual for being seen on a network like Nick for that time (1984). While there was some original material cooked up by the YCDTOTV guys, there also used to be a mixture of material that came from other sources, such as foriegn commecials, TV shorts, and indie films. One that sticked out in my mind the longest, and haven't seen again until a few years back was a film entitled "Tennis Club", a spoof on the game of tennis that was done by Italian animator Bruno Bozzetto in the early '80s. This film was only shown though in short segments during the series, and it was a bit racy watching it complete, but for those that might like to freshen their memory of this, you can click this link to watch it in it's entirity!

Another short of some interest Turkey TV also showed was Barnes & Barnes' cooky novelty hit, "Fish Heads", which is also available here...

Another one that also got show that is a definate rarity to find anywhere was a film produced and mostly shown in schools, camps and other venues that was a spoof to a familiar sci-fi flick, "Closet Cases of the Nerd Kind". I have a copy of this on 16mm as well as a video in my collection.
