So I'm about nine when I see the Wizard, and for the next several months all I could think about was "The PowerGlove" and how insanely awesome it would be for me to rule over all the other neighborhood kids with this hightech piece.

I scratched everything and anything else off of my christmas list, and sure enough, Santa came through.

I spent a while trying to read the overly complex instructions, finally get the "censors" set up, and get it all up and running. Well... Sort of Running...

No matter how much I practiced I could never get the powerglove to work... The functions would stick, and so I would for instance, In Mario, just jump repeatedly. Or run backwards in Metroid, etc. etc.

All the other kids I mentioned called me out, like the new gunslinger in town, knowing that I had this not so secret weapon. I got my ass handed to me each time.

I never felt as though I could tell my parents since I made such a big deal, and they spent good money on it. :(

So, I was hoping to find out if I was alone in this...

I know that there is a Video Game Forum, but this is where I would rather discuss this "Memory".

Man I wanted the power glove so bad. My brother's friend had one but they wouldn't let me use it. I have a feeling it didn't work so good for them either...I rarely saw them use it.

I love the power glove...it's so bad.

yeah i always wanted a power glove too, but never did end up getting one. i suppose that was for the best though, as everything that i continue to hear about it is completely negative. the wizard is most definitely responsible for this piece of nintendo hardware being so highly sought after.

And for what it was worth I wish I had the Joystick. :lol:

Getting me to waste my parents money on the PowerGlove Was Lucas' evil plot all along..



I eventually gave it away to a friend... But now I wish I had it, if for no other reason than to use it in costume should I ever again attend a Rave. :lol:

i never had the pleasure of owning a powerglove either.

though a friend of mine growing up had one and he could never seem to get his to work either.. so i guess your not alone in this.

Thank god I never bought one, as I was one of the many who agreed with Lucas, creamed myself, and thought it was "So Bad" as well. The hype was unbelievable, the result = disappointing.

I did want the glove for a long time... until my friend brought it over and it was useful as a heavy jacket in hot weather. Most of the time, the buttons either worked too late or didnt work at all. It was cumbersome to set up too. Thank god I didnt ask for it on X-mas, and I would have thrown a fit. It looked like an awesome gadget from the naked eye. I wished Nintendo spend more time on it. Its good for collecting purposes though.

my friend had one of those.. and that damn thing never worked.. i was like what a piece of junk... you would think that they would do some serious testing on something like this..but i guess not...

Like they gave a crap about whether or not it works... They Knew Suckers Like Me Would Line Up!
