Please introduce yourself in the say hello thread, Cap.

Of course I remember the Silverhawks- "Partly metal, Partly real!" the guy with the chrome wings was Quicksilver voiced by Peter Newman (Tygra, Bengali, Wiley Kat, and Monkian from Thundercats) and the guitar guy was Bluegrass voiced by Larry Kenny (Lion-O and Monkian from Thundercats).

Awesome toys and intro. I really hope it comes to DVD since Warner Brothers now owns the rights to all Rankin-Bass shows.

Mon-Star is still one of the biggest badasses in cartoon history from the 80's or otherwise. 8)

Yes I remember Silverhawks. One of the better cartoons of the 80's.

besides the main cast of the silver hawks wasn't there a green and red guy too?
I'm only 22, but why does this place make me feel old?

I briefly toyed around with writing some fanfiction for Silverhawks, but alas, I'd get the poop kicked out of me for doing something radically different:)

And Monstar could kick anyone's ass- anyone at all.

Yes, they got new recruits later on in the series as a last ditch try to revive it.

            Frankly, Silverhawks sucked.
Now, before I get crucified for that comment, let me explain. I used to think Silverhawks was incredible, best stuff around. Then I actually found a tape of it at Blockbusters, and happily took it home to watch.

            Oh.
            My.
            God.

I did not realize how horribly bad this show was. It was a police show, through and through. They all had police officer values, the episodes revolved around things like breaking up gambling rings, while the chief was a classical chicago police chief.

Talk about being slapped in the face, it was pure rose tinted glasses, because Silverhawks, while having insanely cool potential, was horribly done, potential wasted.
