Hello!

Sorry if this has already been asked before but I was checking to see if I could purchase any tapes or dvd's of David the Gnome on ebay and alot of the seller descriptions for vhs tapes said that it has been deleted, thus making the tape very rare.

Can someone tell me why or what it means that they were deleted? Why don't they release it on dvd? it was such a classic show!

Thanks in advance! :)

If a listing was deleted that means they were probably selling bootlegs.

no i meant that the seller description stated that the show itself was deleted .. meaning that all tapes are rare because they are no longer available.

Thats because they dont make vhs tapes anymore and they are out of print
The last ones were probably released years ago in small quantities since I doubt there was very much demand for DTG tapes at the time.

How could I forget about this show!? I remember the fox that always came to the rescue, and he always had this little medical kit. That show was great. Would love to see it on DVD. I would like to have this stuff for my kids one day. :)

In cases like this, "deleted" = "out of print"

I'd assume Nickelodeon or whatever company that made the show would still have the master copies. If they don't than they are idiots. David the Gnome, as well as all 80's cartoons, should be released on dvd and return to television.
