excuseme? the beatles are not up there. how can you ask who your fave classic band is and not have the beatles as an option?

8) It has such a wide variety of styles, it is original, it contributed to music, each member is or was extremely talented and their songs and hymns are universal.
In my opinion it is the band that transmits in the best way the message of a song. Im a big Queen fan.
It is important also about a band not only "hits" but also the style, the popular songs and the not popular songs and how profesional it is. that makes a diference between a one big hit band and a real band.
note: we all love the beatles etc... you cant use the term say best band but favourite band leaves it easyer to decide.

Yeah, not having The Beatles, I had to go with Queen -- though if they were listed, it still woulda been a toss-up. Alice Cooper and KISS are other notable classic bands left off, but oh well.
