The first appearence was "Doug Rocks" in season 1. One of my favorite episodes.

the beets were great. I loved the episode where doug's lucky hat causes him to win a radio contest and reveals they're first album is called "beets me"

I refused to touch that strange bean curd.

my favorite nicktoon. doug and his favorite band "THe Beets" ...yea i remember. Chap Lipmen = John Linnon and the green dude with the big nose and english accent looked like Ringo Star . I'm guessing the creators of doug really liked "the beetles"
