This may sound a little perverted of me, but forgive me cause I was just curious yet a perverted little boy. Remember, in the late 80's-early 90's when cable showed playboy on ppv, and even when you didn't order it; it still had the a glitch? The glitch would show a quick second clip, and then show ppv previews. Then you more than likely (if you were a perverted child as i was) would constantly keep click the a/b button on the remote, just to be able to see more than just a clip. Funny, and even sometimes, if you pressed the button long enough, it would stay on for a good while :mrgreen: . I know I can't be the only one who attempted this, but if I am...please excuse me while I go shoot myself. :oops:

wouldn't say I did that but what I did do was one of my friends dad had the playboy channel so we would go to his house when his dad was at work. put the gun down
ive seen those channles all blurry and you could kind of see body parts, like in that movie American pie, .and ya please no shooting

Here in Holland you could get some blurry images of an adult channel by manualy adjusting the channel of old TV's.
I did that yes, dont feel bad about it and so should you.

that reminds me. here in the easrly ninties the adult channels were the high channels and if you had a converter you could hold down the vetical hold on the box it self and you could see the top half of the show and in black in white. it's how I watched all pay per view fights too.
I used to do the same thing for movies and WWE matches. It was before I had digital cable.
Uhhhh . . Yeah. Everyone has done something like that . . . and the ones who didn't are liars!!! I think I started that in the early to middle 80's with HBO or CINEMAX. You could click the remote over and over again and catch a glimpse of a girl, maybe even on top of a guy. Oh my, . . that was absolutely awesome for a 9 year old to see.

I didn't have cable until 2000, so I can't say. But when it was analogue I can remember it being scrambled, and once in a while it would go for about 15 minutes clear, but in negative film form.
There was a time (going as far back as the earlyi 80's) when The Playboy Channel was just a regular premium/pay service, and some of us that were lucky to have it on cable in scrambled form could try to watch that channel and make out what's going on behind the warped, scrambled pic!

i remember like 5 years ago i was at a friends house and we where watching a standup comedy show on community tv.
the sound was really crap as it is a cheap staion, so we had the volume up all the way.
the show had finished so i changed the channel to see what else was on.
forgeting the volume was up full i wacked it over to the porno channel which wasnt available, but the adio still worked.
this was at like 2 in the morning so his parents were really pissed.
i was a perv as a kid but never tryed looking for the porno channel :wink:

This thread is pretty funny.
I think everyone's guilty of trying to make out the scrambled images and every now and then you would get a semi clear picture..ooohhh...ahhh....
Anyway, I ended up buying a 3rd party descrambler and got to see everything :shock: No not just that,you dirty minds you :wink: the premium channels, the PPV movies and fights. I use to have my friends over to watch the Tyson fights for free which were like at least 50 bucks back then...good times...good times!

This reminds me of that scrambler box!! Anyone else have that illegal black box that unscrambled the pictures from all the pay channels...!! It was a scrambler, but we called it the "black-box"..it was kind of awesome being able to watch Viewers Choice which was what it was called then for nothing.....it also let us watch Cinemax, Showtime, Disney(not the crap disney we see these days of course!).......
I was never allowed to watch tv from the black box as for the obvious reasons!!!!
My parents kept the black box in their bedroom...because as we all did at that age, we were curious about the "action" on the higher channels....!!
I also remember being able to watch Halloween Havoc 90, a Pay-Per-View wrestling thing, for free because of the black box....
Those things are illegal still I think, but are sure handy to get the best movies for nothing....!!

that just reminded me of what my computer tech told me about video cards.
apparently a few years ago when foxtel digital just came out, you could get it
for free with just a video card and a wireless internet connection.

I never had it unscrambled but I remember how distorted the pic looked, but I'd keep from changing the channel long enough, hoping to see some skin. The closest I got was staying up late while my parents were asleep. In 7th and 8th grade I wasn't allowed to stay up as late so I'd wait until my parents went to sleep and then I'd go downstairs, turning on HBO and watching Hardbodies or Young Doctors in Love, or even Breathless. Another time we barely got Skinemax as it was snow and jiggled a little bit (no pun intended). I was happy that I got to see Linda Hamilton's funbags in The Terminator, but even happier that I got to see the whole movie itself (as I'm big into robots) despite the bad video.
Being reminded of having a similar box that only gave us Showtime on a scrambled channel.
