Hi,
Does anyone remember the music episode of "Elmo's World" that was featured on select Sesame Street episodes since 1998?
What I know about it is that the moment where you see various scenes of children performing "The Alphabet Song" (starts first with a girl playing the piano, and then another girl playing the violin, and then a 2nd-grade music class all playing recorders, and another group of children playing kazoos, and still another group of students humming "La, la, la ..." and then closes off with a student orchestra), it gets to me.
Another moment that gets to me in this segment is the "what makes music and what doesn't make music" sequence. A trombone makes music (trombone plays), and then "a box doesn't make music ... unless it's a music box!" (music box plays), and then we have next, with a guitar positioned next to a birthday cake, "A birthday cake doesn't make music ... but singing 'Happy Birthday' is music" (children singing "Happy Birthday to You"). "A little bird makes music (bird chirps) ... so do Big Birds!" (Big Bird hums "La, la, la ...").
What is your favorite moment from the music episode of EW?
