what home video Idents do you remember from when you guys were kids?

I have quite a good assortment of home video ID memories from when I was little:

I remember the "red letters" Walt Disney Home Video Ident very well :) . I remember watching a truckload of Disney videos with that ident :) .
Despite me being a UK guy who until 1999 never went to America, I even remember seeing the "US only" "Black Diamond" (spelling? ) Walt Disney home video ident on a Peter Pan VHS. Upon seeing the ID I was like "What on earth is going on?!? " . I didn't know it was US only until I spotted a Jungle Book VHS with the same Ident of which turned out to be a US import.
I also remember seeing the "rectangles in purple background" Disney videos ident for the first time. I was like "what the deuce?!? " .

I also remember the BBC video "Logo with RGB lines and piano solo" logo from some Postman Pat and (possibly) Brumm videos I watched when I was little.
I remember the BBC retiring their "slanty" logo with a new "squares" logo; They also introduced a new Home video Ident (multicolor ribbon and guitar solo) . I first saw the 4:3 version of the Ident on a Teletubbies video. I have the 16:9 version of the Ident on my Little Britain UMDs :) .

I used to be mad for Thomas the tank engine (although not anymore) , and I remember most of the Thomas the tank engine videos I watched having "The Video Collection" (who later changed their name to VCi) 's "polygon figure of a TV" Ident. I found the same ident again 2 years ago on an Inspector Gadget video from before I was even born.

I also remember watching an assortment of videos of Rhoal Dahl (spelling? ) stories distributed by Abbey Home Entertainment/Tempo Video. I remember hearing Abbey Home Entertainment's "theme music" on some of the tapes, but I can't say I ever got to see the Ident until 2001 when I watched an "Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog" VHS of which has the Ident ;) . Today, I have it on my few Captain N and Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles VHS tapes.

f.h.e. 1986-1993 - Liked it, though the music was creepy
f.h.e. 1993-1999 - I was literally OBSESSED with this one. Sometimes I would take a paintbrush and paint the logo just like the logo did itself!

Simitar 1986-1993 - Saw it as a warning to run out of the room before "Animal Antics" came on, though the logo itself is very scary

Polygram Video 1993-1996 - Very scary, at the end of Power Ranger videos; especially with the sound of the lion roaring at the end!

Random House 1987-2001 - I always liked this one.

WB Home Video 1985-1996 - I liked this too. For some reason I thought the gold scrolling object at the beginning was supposed to be a ladder or a staircase or something.

UAV 1991-1998 - Creepy... This one was pretty weird, but cool.

Walt Disney 1977-1987 - Saw this on a recorded tape

Walt Disney 1987-1998 - Saw it everywhere!

            The F.H.E. Logo
The Disney video logo of Mickey Mouse in some sort of moving trace lights.
There was also another one, but I don't know the name, it was for the Popples videos.

Here are those home video logos that I do remember:

              1. Walt Disney Home Video (1978-87) - A Las Vegas style "Neon Mickey" movement with loud fanfare. Scary!!!
              2. Paramount Home Video (1979-81) - I remember a rare logo used in "Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown" VHS tape. It had a silouette black mountain and creepy synthesized music. That gives me nightmares after I watched the very beginning of the film.
              3. FHE (1983-86) - Soda pop and those creepy sounds gave me the creeps with those Pac-Man looking fonts.
              4. Video Gems (1981-83) - Taken from a VHS tape called "Blood for Dracula" and it was an X-rated film. Gross!
              5. Media Home Entertainment (1981-87) - Taken from "A Touch of Class" VHS tape with the Sci-Fi special effects and music came from the first Media logo from 1979 as MEDA.
              6. Warner Home Video (1980-84) - This logo was originally called WCI Home Video where it has a reverse zoomed Warner Communications logo to show the title of the home video.

I also remember the Paramount Home Video '95 logo, the WDHV logos from 1987 & 1993, Sony Wonder, Golden Books Home Video, MGM/UA video '95 and New Line Cinema Home Video logos.

FHE #2 is from Ninja Turtles tapes and a Transformers tape
FHE #3 I saw on some later Ninja Turtles tapes
                  Karl-Lorimar I saw on a children's tape
MCA Home Video with the starfield I saw on many, but most know it from the first print of ET.
                  MGM/UA '82 I saw on Spaceballs as a kid.

I also remember seeing a few of these 'lesser-known' ones:

1983-1987 Golden Video Logo - I liked it

1987 Omni Logo - The music was creepy

1987-1991 Playhouse Home Video Logo - This one was WEIRD, man!!

1988-1992 Saban Home Video - I didn't like it very much, I preferred the "gold coin in space" logo.

1987-1995? Paragon Logo - This one was scary too, the CGI "P" with a star cut out of it wasn't scary, but while Lambchop talking over this logo was kinda cute, it has taken under slightly sinister undertones...

1985-1992 Hi-Tops Logo - I liked it, but only ever saw it once on an "Adventures of Ronald McDonald Tape" from the 80's

1987-1994 Lyon's Group Logo - A cheesy 3D 'Paintbrush' font 'paints' out the words "Lyons" on a white background with a cheesy fanfare. Seen at the end of Barney tapes

That was from a number of Shirley Temple movies except the VHS tape I have was "Curly Top" had a weird Playhouse logo.

You mean "Paragon Video Productions"? I remember that logo since it was on some horror movie or some B-movies on VHS tapes. It was from the early 80's, but it had that loud fanfare and even scarier logo than the "Neon Mickey" era. This is what I'm talking about.

the Saban gold medalon flying into the circle.

Being a hard core toku fan, and hating the Saban's version of Power Raingers and masked rider and the like, that logo still makes me scream adn run out fo the room in fear.

hhmmm, maybe i should seek theraphy.

I actually thought it was cool, but a logo on MMPR videos that scared me was the 'PolyGram Video' logo from 1993-96. THAT was scary.

I've seen the current DIC logo from the DVD sample featuring "Heatcliff" and "Super Mario Bros." The current logo features "The Incredible World of DIC" logo. This is the current logo that everyone hated this one. Everyone missed the "Kid in Bed" DIC logo, but it replaced with the current version. The prototype version of "The Incredible World of DIC" with "Kid in Bed" was on the last clip on YouTube where Roygerdodger has it. This is why the current version of DIC sucks. No more "Kid in Bed", just a voice saying "Deek!" from the "Kid in Bed" era.

And don't forget on the bottom, it says "Home Entertainment" right above the IWOD logo.
