anybody watch Nickelodeon's New Year's Eve Countdown back in the early-mid 90's? seeing the previews for various tv channels' countdowns refreshed my memory on it. Disney has theirs, MTV has theirs, etc. saddly Nickelodeon has finally given up on doing their own new year's eve countdowns. But I remember the first year i watched it the countdown was hosted by Marc Weiner of Weinerville where they played all of the now-classic Nick shows, and Weinerville had its own ball that they dropped. I think it was 1994 but i'm not sure. does this ring any bells for anyone?

I remember that! It was New Years Eve 1995 (end of '94).. I remember the song: So get ready, with a bucket of confetti, get ready for a happy new year! The block was cool, but the weinerville special sucked.. Gosh I haven't thiought about that in years.. Thanks for the memory and happy '07!

I remember that too they would show some good shows that night I know one year it was hosted by Danny Tamberelli and Michael Maronna the brothers of Pete & Pete and Michael had a shaved head with like a patch a stingy red hairs in the front . And at 12am the slime geyser would go off I thought that was so cool. I was about to ask why did Nick stop that but I forgot it's Nick and they canned all the good things

Here's a clip I found of Nickelodeon New Years '98.

Danny Tamberrelli, Lori Beth Denberg, Amanda Bynes, and Stick Stickley.
