I was wondering if anyone else remembered this very weird PSA from what I'm thinking was the early 90's (I was born in the extremely late 80's and if it was after 95 or 96 I would probably remember it better than I do). It involved a group of kids, and one of them does something (I think he ate something bad, I'm not sure) that causes him to fall into a weird bounce-house kind of world. Some other character explains why the kid is in there, but I don't remember the explaination. Then the kid falls to another world, where everyone has really gross blotches on their face.
I have such a clear image of watching this as kid and it freaking me out, but I cannot remember what network it was on or what it was telling me not to do. Does anyone else remember this?

You are thinking of a PSA from Fox Kids' 'Totally for Kids' ad campaign, which would have run on TV between 1993 and 1997. I am absolutely positive that this particular one was not part of the initial ones in 1993, but it most likely premiered in early 1994. Nevertheless, the PSA featured John Walsh and the Totally for Kids Detective Agency (which were not featured in every PSA) and they help a young girl make a better choice by eating healthier food rather than junk food. She initially eats junk food and enters into some realm for kids who eat junk food. The bounce-house kind of world you speak of is called 'the hyper chamber', where kids who are too hyper from eating sugar go. She then falls into the dungeon where she sees a kid who has spots all over his face...I assume this was supposed to insinuate that eating junk foods like chocolate causes you to have acne...In the end, the girl is saved from the junk food realm by the Totally Kids Detective Agency after they convince her to avoid drinking sodas and eating candy by instead eating a sandwich.

I do not believe I have the entire PSA in my vast records, but I know for sure that I have bits and pieces of it (on multiple tapes). Unfortunately, I have no idea which tapes they are on. I'll try to look for it and if I find it, I will encode it for you. Nevertheless, you can see other 'Now A Message Totally For Kids' PSA's that were encoded by me on Youtube. I personally did not upload them to Youtube, but I was the one who made them (They are currently down on my website, so you must go to Youtube to view them).

      Hope this information helps.

Thank you so much. I knew I was not imagining that PSA.

Dude, do you have ABC's 1980's Computer Critters psa where Hacker is helping Tabby with her school report, a paper titled "Dance to The Beat And Land On Four Feet"?

Unfortunately, I mostly have 90's stuff as I specialize in Fox Kids and thus, I don't have what you are looking for. Sorry.

I'm looking for one of the Totally Kids PSA's that used to air on Fox.

It's about a new student named Roberto who initially gets made fun of until he draws a geometric figure on the board. Desparately searching for this one!!!

I actually have that one...it was one of the few (less than 5) that I encoded but never had the time to upload it to any site. Unfortunately, the audio is not the greatest, but I can try to fix it up.

That's awesome...I like to hear the kid say "Roberto!" in a really high pitched and goofy voice, and there's a reason...

I am a Pittsburgh Pirates fan and we have a catcher on our team named Humberto Cota. He can barely hit .200. When he comes up I say "Humberto!" like the kid said "Roberto!" on the PSA all the time and my mom wants to see the original where I got it from because she thinks its really funny (my mom and I went to a game where Cota played and I said this really loud).

EDIT: Found this thread this morning. Cota is no longer with the Pirates, I hate to admit. So it doesn't even matter really if I ever see this one again.

                    When will people learn? :

No matter how much junk food you eat, you won't get ACNE from it!
