does anyone now why many of the Blockbuster's are going out of buisness?

It's occuring alot in Philadelphia

    A while back a local video rental store I loved so much (Westbrook video and game hire) closed down.
    I think the Blockbuster stores in Cliftonville and Ramsgate may still be okay

    Westbrook video and game hire were MUCH better than blockbuster!

    You could choose how long you wanna rent your game for

    AND

    You get the instruction manual too!

    Not like blockbuster, though (who don't give the manual and have set renting periods for each game) .

    The last 2 games I rented from Westbrook video and game hire were:

    Bust-A-Move 4 (Playstation)
    Fifa 2002 (Playstation 2)

    Both were rented simutaneously

      This is mainly due to the growing trend known as on-demand TV, and pay-per-view.
