Hi Gang,

I believe Hanna-Barbera may have been the studio to provide the USA Network with the animation services for the bumper of the ensuing station's "Cartoon Express" block (the 1982-88 version), if I am not mistaken. The animation (especially of the girl on the motorboat) looks very H-B-esque (not to mention the appearances of some of H-B's own stars within the bumper, such as Yogi and Boo-Boo Bear which were added circa 1986). What good times those were that we miss now ...

Also, who did the background music for the 1982 CX bumper? It sounded very generic with that hard-rockin' electric guitar.

Wouldn't surprise me they supplied a majority of the programming until they were bought out in the 90s.

I voted 1982-1988 with the rock music.

I watched USA Cartoon Express from 1982-1990.

i also voted for'82-'88 because it has a southern rock feel to it.

Is the 1982 version the one that used to have a rocket going around the world? That's the only one I can remember, and the music was kind of "rockish". The other ones I remember, are the ones from the 90s.
