Thank goodness for VH-1 Classic. Nowadays, "music" channels are hardly that at all. Every so often they play one of the newest music videos, but other than that it's all horrible "reality" shows.
VH-1 Classic, ironically, is a breath of fresh air. Hours every day are devoted to the classic music video of the 70s, 80s, and early 90s. When they're not playing a music video, it's classic music-related movies, or shows that involve the great music of old. I just hope that they don't go the way of all the other music channels.

thats for sure it's 50/50, awesome for the music and the good "quality" programming, lol
I was absolutely hooked on VH1 Classic when I first discovered it, but I haven't watched it in a while. I still turn it on whenever I fly home on JetBlue.

I love it.Metal Mania and Rock Fest are my addictions.
The Alternative is good sometimes. They get in a rut of playing these soft rock Cure impressionists sometimes though, and I just can't take it. But every once in a while I'll see a Gwar video or something and it redeems itself.

Yeah, it's certainly got it's flaws, but even in the 80s VH-1 and MTV had too.

Don't forget that they also show classic Pop-Up Video!
While VH-1 Classic plays much more music than MTV or the regular VH-1, it has a tendency to drift into non-music shows every now and then. Case in point: Hip Hop Honors, Bands Reunited (more of a reality show than straight-up music) and movies like Footloose and Jacksons: An American Dream.
Still a good channel though.

I don't have this channel, but from what I've seen, its good. I hope it doesn't go the same route as MTV 2. Remember when MTV 2 used to show videos 24/7?
