Was it Letter-Man? If so, then yes I do beleive that was the Electric Company.

That was LetterMan. . .voiced by Gene Wilder and narrated by Joan Rivers. And yes, it was definitely on Electric Company. He would "rip the appropriate letter from his varsity sweater" to change things into more "convenient" things for him. For example, the "evil man" changed the "sun" into a giant "bun" by changing the "s" to a "b". . . . LetterMan took the "s" from his varsity sweater, changed it back to the sun, and the world was now again safe for Morgan Freeman to read to us.

My personal favorite EC cartoon was "TION, shun, shun, shun, shun. . . TION, shun, shun, shun, shun". . .

Come to think of it, didn't EC have episodes of SpiderMan? I seem to remember Spidey battling the Yeti. I think he set a bunch of snowcones on the ground, and the Yeti (yearning for all things cold) sat on them one at a time. . .giving Spidey plenty of time to escape, save the hostages, write a novel, etc. . . .

        1) Yes, EC had episodes of Spider Man. I remember him combatting the 'book worm'. Spider man never spoke. Do remember him once webbing the blue beetle, though. Funny stuff.

        2) I thought that the T-I-O-N song was for Schoolhouse Rock. It wasn't?

Thanks for your help guys and remember, when you throw trash in the ocean you get pollu T-I-O-N. :)

          p.s. Remember spidey's theme song?

Spiderman. Where are you going to spiderman? Nobody knows who you are.

And they had the weird web effect on the screen when he shot and all of a sudden the perpetrator was in webs. Funny stuff.

Anybody remember the 70's network live action show spiderman???

"Who can turn a cub. . . into a cube?
Who can turn a tub. . . into a tube?
            It's elementary. . . .for silent "e".

And don't forget. . . . "Whoooo is it? It's the plumber, I've come to fix the sink"
