That one where Jon Cryer used some goop (kinda reminded me of Pepto Bismol)to create his idea of the perfect girl and the one where a kid becomes a human magnet.

"Mummy daddy" and "Go to the head of the class" were my favorites.

I like the one of the cartoonist who was a ball turret gunner on a B-17 in World War II. During a bombing run, a German fighter crashes into his plane and he can't get out of the ball turret. Plus, one of the main landing gears is stuck, so when they land, he will be crushed to death. As his crew mates try to console him, one of his crew mates (Keifer Sutherland, I think) contemplates shooting him but couldn't bring himself to do it. As the plane begins to land, the gunner takes out his pad and draws his plane with all the landing gear down. Then, a cartoon-like landing gear replaces the non-working gear and the plane lands safely. When they get him out of the turret, the cartoon landing gear disappears and the turret is crushed.

MUMMY DADDY was witty, intriguing and exceptionally well-filmed . . . the episode concerning the air crew during WWII and the cartoonist actually had me crying when I saw it in 8th grade. ALSO, Mark Hamill's turn as a rabid collector who defies his parents by gathering comics and so forth . . . only to become a millionaire later in life . . . The great aspect of AMAZING STORIES was that it referenced current, 80s popular (geek) culture, while also nodding to the great genre work of the 1950s and 1960s . . . all combined with some humor . . . certainly it has grown into a show that can rank with the earliest TZ eps.

The ine with the teacher (Christopher LLoyd) was wild because it used black magic in conjunction with backmasking on records . . . at the time, Americans were freaked by Heavy Metal and alleged Satanism . . . So I found it particularly funny.

That one was my favorite as well. It was also an hour long while the rest of the episodes were thirty minutes.
