Amazing film with some intriguing images and stories . . . if you do not know it, check it out . . . the music is interesting . . . DEVO, JOURNEY, SAMMY HAGAR, but it is the distinct imagery and plots that are memorable. Certainly a trip down 80s animated greatness.

yeah thats one of my favorite movies i have that and heavy metal 2000
Journey... Sammy Hagar... I don't know. Sounds a little too metal for me.

Loved the movie and the soundtrack.First time i saw nudity in animation.I was too young to admire the nudity but i remember a funny feeling in my pants!
Heavy Metal is an 80's classic. Lets not forget John Candy. The music rocked too! I haven't seen 2000 yet but I heard it's pretty bad. I'll still check it out though sometime.
owned it on VHS and sold it... but no interest in buying on dvd... good movie but better in the theatre with certain smells wafting thru the air and in my lungs in a midnight showing.

Totally agree. Altough 2000 had better animation I still prefer the animation and of coarse the music from the original.

I've never seen Heavy Metal 2000, but I've been told there's CGI in it. Color me a purist, but that seems kinda wrong to me.
