What were your favorite sword & sorcery movies of the 1980s? Many of them were pretty cheezy, but some were really well done. Which were your favorites? I would have to go with Excalibur, it still stands up to movies put out today! Here are a bunch that I could think of:

Beastmaster
Beastmaster II: Through the Portal of Time
Beastmaster III: The Eye of Braxus
Deathstalker
Deathstalker II: Deul of the Titans
Deathstalker & the Warriors from Hell
Deathstalker IV: Match of the Titans
Wizards of the Lost Kingdom
Wizards of the Lost Kingdom II
Wizards of the Demon Sword
Ator the Fighting Eagle
The Blade Master (Ator sequel)
The Iron Warrior (Ator)
The Quest for the Mighty Sword (Ator)
The Sword & The Sorcerer
The Warrior & the Sorcereress
Flesh & Blood
Red Sonja
Hawk the Slayer
Warrior Queen
Sword of the Valiant
The Barbarians
Barbarian Queen
Barbaria Queen II: The Empress Strikes Back
Yor the Hunter from the Future
John Norman's Gor
She

here are some of the more known and better ones:
Ladyhawke
Dragonslayer
Excalibur
Legend
Conan The Barbarian
Conan The Destroyer
Clash of the Titans
Willow
The Princess Bride
Highlander
Masters of the Universe

Did "Army Of Darkness" come out in the 80's or in the 90's?

Never mind, I just went to imdb and found out it came out in '93.
And although it came out back in the 60's "Disney's Sword In The Stone" was another sword/sorcery type movie.
Oh, and also "Disney's The Black Cauldron".

            Dragon Slayer
            Krull
            Conan the Barbarian

                For me it's:

                Highlander
                Conan the Barbarian
Deathstalker II (More of a spoof than anything and the best of the series by far)
                Excalibur
                The Beastmaster
                Dragonslayer
The Tall Man: "You think that when you die, you go to Heaven. You come to us!"

That's a cool one, i wish MGM would release that on DVD and that's from the producers of "Re-Animator".
