So, what was the greatest, yet overlooked, cartoon series? What do you think?

If they had finished it, I'd say Pirates of Dark Water is definitely up there.

      Ooo... Nice one.

It would be either of these three, Pirates of the Darkwater, Visionaries or Peter Pan and the Pirates.

Certainly not the greatest, but for how good it is it never got nearly enough recognition. Patrol 03 is probably the most least known about cartoon that is on par with mainstream toons I have ever seen. There is next to zero information on the Internet, even though it's in multiple languages.
The distributor is Taffy Entertainment, famous for shows like Code Lyoko and Funky Cops.

I've actually never heard of Patrol 03 or even Code Lyoko and Funky Cops. What were those shows like and what were they about?

That's some obscure shit. Cute little aquamarine bird though.

I always thought Aeon Flux was lightyears beyond a lot of other cartoons as far as how it crafted its storytelling. It was made for the adult audience, the "I'm working on my PhD, so what if its taking me 12 years, I'll have extra whipped cream on that mocha please" crowd, if you know what I mean... but I found it to be very interesting.

It's Punky Brewster. It's horribly awesome. It def. has that 80's vibe and the four year old i nanny for watches the same episodes over and over again.

Cybersix was a good show, but didn't get a long enough lifespan.

I think Silver Surfer is overlooked along with EeK the Cat,Teen Wolf, and The adventures of Ed Grimley.

Silver Surfer was a cartoon? I didn't even know that... and I'm a huge fan of the comics.

I don't know if it's the greatest, but I always thought the animated C.O.P.S was pretty awesome. And overlooked.

C.O.P.S. (Central Organization of Police Specialists)!! That series deserves a mega five-star plus!!!! It should not have been an underrated show in the first place.

I think Jem is often overlooked. I mean, it has great animation, great characters, a great storyline. Even the scripts are well written for a cartoon.
