Who remembers this movie? It was called Something Wicked This Way Comes. . . . .and it was early 80's, possibly Disney (weird for the mouse to endorse a movie like this. . .I might be wrong). . . .

This is one of Disney's 'dark' movies. I saw it in my 6th grade reading class.
I guess it's like Satan’s traveling carnival. It has some weird scenes for a kid's movie.

yeah, I watched it in 9th grade lit class. It is a very bizarre movie. the barber(?) talks about womens petticoats.

Was it based on the book "Something Wicked This Way Comes," because I read the book but was never aware there was an actual movie.

Yes the movie was good it has Pam Grier, Jason Robards, and Jonathan Pyrce as Mr. Dark. This is a very good movie from the early 80's.
Interesting, LandbeforeTime. . . . I never knew there was a book, but it doesn't surprise me. I'd like to read that book, since the movie, like most, probably pales in comparison.

You can also purchase the movie around halloween at Best Buy or Wal-mart. It is usually under $20.00....another good disney movie that came out in the 80's was Watcher in the Woods. That movie scared me bad. I couldn't sleep for a long time.

Watcher in the woods is awesome.
I found it on DVD a couple years ago, and made all my friends watch it. They used to give me crap about it, cause it's a Disney movie. But they shut the hell up after they saw it. It's got some pretty disturbing scenes. Freaked me out bad as a kid, and it's still pretty nutty now.
