Do you remember when MTV used to be sponsored by WWF? They had an advertisement that I was really scared of. I mentioned this in another thread but I would really like to know if anyone else remembers it.

First, they had "WORLD" on a black background and pictures such as a skull were flashing. A really weird woman's voice was heard over it and shouted "Ha!"

Then, they showed a short clip. I remember they had a clip from Lapland or an animated boat sinking.

After that, a woman's head was shown and then it showed her shirt with a heart on it. Some text appeared (perhaps in French). The same woman's voice ("Ha!") was heard again and then the text on the shirt changed to "Sponsored by WWF" with the panda logo on it.

I don't know if it was just shown on MTV Europe or if it was used in America too but it was very horrible when I was four. Because of that, I would like to know if anyone else remembers this commercial.

If I'm correct, you're getting your WWFs mixed up. The panda logo belongs to the World Wildlife Fund.

Yes, it was sponsored by the World Wide Fund for Nature. I'm sure they had the panda logo on the woman's shirt. By the way, the woman was a drawing, not live-action. The commercial was shown every 15 minutes if I remember correctly. The commercial was shown in 1996-1998.
