I watched a few times, it wasn't that great, but better than what kids are force-fed today...
ive actually never herd of this show or seen it , seems to be a popular one.

I know this is going to sound weird, but I always used to think Gullah the frog...thing...was a Pokemon since they communicate by saying their names over and over again.

But I still loved the show though...it was nice to see something that didn't try to spoon-feed you Spanish or have only white people.

I visited the set to Gullah Gullah Island.
There really isn't much to be said about it. It was kind of disappointing actually, much smaller than I thought it'd be. I was surprised that the grass was really astro-turf. I don't know why this was surprising to me, it makes sense that it would be.
I loved that damn frog though. Could you imagine seeing that thing in real life hopping out through your back yard? I'd shoot the fucker before he got 20 yards from my house. It'd freak me out.

This show was awesome I had watched it alot when I was little and I hardly missed an episode - it was that good, IMO. But the theme song is something I couldnt forget!

This was one of the best nick jr shows. Also, i remembered i learned how to spell island from this show. It was on a spelling test in first grade, and it has that silent "s", but watching that show title, i acctually knew it.
Now that takes me back. Back to where I was innocent, no worries at all. Back when I asked my mom to make me a sandwhich and she made one instead of telling me to make my own. I may have sang to the theme song once or twice and heck, I would watch it if it was on right now.
That show creeped me the HECK out. With the big yellow frog, with the big chin...He looked like Jay Leno....it was weird....

Well he was a tadpole frog thing, his chin and throat was suppose to be puffy.
The only time I actually watched it was when I was home sick with Pnemonia, at 13 years old. Man did I feel like crap.
Anyway, I never watched it, except then. All I really remember about it is that they made Macoroni and Cheese on the show, which made me want some. So I tryed to make some, but never ate it because the craving left me and I felt sicker from all that standing.

I once watched a Pearl Harbor movie because I was so sick I didn't feel like channel surfing and it turned out to be good.

That show was nice.
Even though I was a middle-schooler when that show came out, I loved to watch it whenever I just happened to be home from school. My younger cousin at the time, used to watch it (she was born in '94). When she outgrew it, it made me sad. lol
I always liked the neighborhood kid Brian. I thought Marisol was cool too. Her character was probably round about my age. Oh, and we used to joke about Abuelo and how he was subtly and always hitting on Ms. Natalie. lol
It sure would be nice to know what had happened to all the neighborhood kids on that show.
