All i remember is that it was a wierd animated movie that i watched when i was a kid. Around the mid 80s. There was a yellow robot character who's head was not attached and it just hovered over his body. I think there was another character who was a big strong paul bunyon lookin guy who i think could stretch his legs and arms way out (that may have been someone elses power I'm not sure). I think it was a group of 4 or 5 and they were battling some evil group in outer space (there might have been an army). I'm sure it's nothing a well known movie and that is what sucks. Please, please help me figure this out.

Unfortunatly it's not Heavy Metal (looks like a cool movie though). Now that i think about it i think the one stretchy guy was really skinny and had a big nose (his entire body could stretch, i think there's a scene how they get out of a cage or something because he can slide through it). Then there was another character that was a round ball maybe. It was a kid's movie, i was only 7 or 8 at the time.

        Sounds a little like this...

Cyborg 009: Legend of the Super Galaxy (a.k.a. "Defenders of the Vortex" [US VHS release]):

Someone stuck the whole film up on YouTube on the other hand if you like to check it out.
