I was most fond of the DJ Kat Show when I was a little boy. Many of my friends barely remember the show, or just have never heard of it. This show was more popular in the u.k., but thankfully for me it hit the states. I watched it every time it was on, and was glued to the tv on the dot of when it aired. I wrote so many letters to the show and even got repeated postcards in the mail. The thing is, rj doesn't have the intro, and I can't find anything on youtube. I haven't seen DJ Kat since maybe the late 80's or very early 90's. Does anybody have a link to share?

By the way, please feel free to post your memories of the DJ Kat show. I remember one episode where he was dressed up as a graduate and reading fan mail with his assistant. I forgot why he dressed as such. I also recall the episode when his assistant linda had to leave, and the new assistant, jennifer, took over. I was so sad as a boy because I liked linda so much and even had a crush on her, then I eventually fell in love with jennifer ;) Other than that, my memory is pretty shot until I hear a story that can trigger my memory, or am fortunate enough to ever watch another episdode ever again and happily reminisce.

Hi , i remember watching the DJ Kat show .
It was so much fun watching this show every morning on weekdays.
Here's a link but there is no sound and it's very short , crappy video but it's the only one i could find

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0XYGnWUvnQ

Many great cartoons aired on this show , Marshall Bravestar , M.A.S.K , Teenage muntant ninja turtles and the list goes on and on.
Did you notice that the dj kat puppet changed during the years?

The show also had nice co-hosts starting with Linda de Mol (sister of John de Mol the creator of Big Brother).
I live in the Netherlands and the show was broadcasted on Superchannel from 1985 to somewhere in the nineties , i believe 1992.

And in weekends we had "the Fun factory" (on SKY channel), this was also a show with puppets (croc(-cer) the crocodile , Snooker the seal) and a co-host , i believe his name was Andy. On this show we watched Transformers , GIjoe, Jayce and the wheeled warriors and the list goes on.

Oh my god, thanks so much! Too bad there's no sound (and no real upskirt view ;), but I can't believe I saw a piece of DJ KAt once again after all these years!! I never though of looking under linda de mol, and I didn't know about the big brother thing either. I remember watching all the cartoons and more. I even remember the gigantic mailman named tiny. He was so tall we couldn't see his face from the door!

About the puppet, I never notice that he changed. That's news to me. Maybe I was just too young to realize the difference in details, or maybe I did notice and just don't remember.

I never saw the fun factory, but i'm sure it was a show we missed out on in the states. Thanks again for helping me down memory lane.

        Hi again ,

here is a link to a site where you can actually download the dj Kat show theme.

        http://www.anime.dds.nl/Dutch.htm

And about the changes in the puppet , look at the youtube movie and your avatar (dj kat pic) you'll see the difference.
Your avatar looks "cleaner" and the "nose"part is more white on your pic. Also if i see it correctly the "youtube"dj kat has a more badass look in his eyes.

and if you google for the DJ kat show you will find more sites about the show.
good luck and have fun reliving the good times!!!

Thanks again for maiking the effort. That song doesn't sound like the one I remember, so it's probably from a later season. I think I do remember the song changing, though. I remember there was a more melodic and less rap like version with a memorable bass line.

And I actually did notice the difference in the eyes in the youtube video. I definitely see the difference now. I just thought it looked that way because it was in video.

I searched for the DJ Kat show so many times. I just didn't get the videos or theme song like I wanted. That's why I'm so thankful that you posted the links on rj. I'm sure others who are reading this thread are reliving the good times as well. :)
