This was a fun movie form my childhood:) . I remember I watched it the same year in which the movies of my childhood Problem ChildI/II came out. This movie starred Anjelica Huston as the leader of an army of witches who turn little British boys into mice. Is it just me, or does Anjelica Huston tend to be "type cast" to portray very dark characters? I also saw Hocus Pocus back in those days but I will always beleive The Witches to be the better movie.

    yeah, I remember that.
It scared the dookie outta me when they showed them all bald with long noses, and all that.
That's actually about all I remember from it.

That was a great movie. :)

The part that creeped me out is the girl in the painting.. LOL!

Wouldn't you be creeped out by that kind of thing if it could really happen? ;)

I'd like to be transformed into a cat personally and not as a mouse.. :)

i just watched it again this weekend, and i'd forgotten a lot... like, i know the kid's young and all, but talk about bad acting. "gramma! gramma!" god, if i head that one more time... the grandmother isn't much better. i know they can only read the dialogue as writen, but come on, people. sadly, i still watch it when it come on. :) i'm a glutton for punishment.

This is a 90's movie, not 80's....I also seen a bit of it on ABC family, but it was towards the end.

I saw part of this movie several days ago on tv. I missed most of it so a few days ago I rented it on DVD. Awesome movie. The grand high witch is the ugliest of them all.

I saw this as a kid. I always loved the instrumental intro. I bought this movie for $5 at the local Family Dollar. And the Grand High Witch's assistant was pretty damn hot.
