Anyone remember this cartoon?
The characters were different animals. The names were: Dotty, Zipper, Montgomery Moose, Woolma, Bingo, and Portia.
I remember I had the Zipper Cat stuffed animal and my brother had the Montgomery Moose stuffed animal.

Yes i do and i am still a little sad they could not get a pproval for the dvd release this year.
Yes, yes I do recall this very well. There was a short flim, and a book (which came first I know not) "The Big Road Race". I also recall there were several books, and the cartoon series was on in the morning on Saturdays.
There were many members of the gang I remember...there was a rabbit that slept all the time, a fox, and another beaver named "Betsy".

I loved the show.
Bingo "bet-it-all" Beaver, seriously ticked me off though.

They have rights to the cards, which was out before the show.
I remember watching this show on CBS Saturday Mornings back in 1984. My mom brought the cards and the stuffed toys for me and my baby brother. I don't know why she did, don't ask me.

I remember the show, but I better remember a home video version that was done by a different company (Nelvana, I think. the Saturday morning show was DiC). The story was that Bingo bets that the Gang will win a scavenger hunt against the crocodile guy (forget his name) and he bets the clubhouse. It was also where I learned what a Lacertilia Squamata was- scientific name for a lizard.

I had a lot of the books as a kid, but I don't ever remember watching the show. Awesome books, though.

I would venture to say that this is the same reason Rainbow Brite's cartoon series has not received a DVD release.

Rainbow Brite was released, in the U.K. (region2) I'm not so sure about region 1...
American Greetings were working on a Get Along Gang comeback and may still have plans for the little scamps, but getting any useful info out of them is like pulling teeth! A few GAG tee shirts were available at "Hot Topic" and the Official Website was launched in 2004 but has not been visibly updated since then...:(
Now the bit you've all been dreading... They did it with Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake and Holly Hobbie and in 2005 The Get Along Gang were also to have been reborn...
