Does anyone still remember Doomsday?

He was an unstoppable being that beat the the living daylights out of Superman and killed him.

This guy needs to be in the next Superman movie when it is released in 2009.

He's still around. Theres a Superman/Doomsday animated feature being released on DVD. It comes out 9/18/07. It looks really damn good.

Someone brought his name up today. I totally forgot about him. That's just to show you how much that I don't watch TV anymore. I just literally can not stand to watch what is on TV today. Thank God for the internet.

Well I started to know about Doomsday when I brushed up more on the comics. I think the first time I learned the whole story was from playing The Death and Return of Superman for the SNES.

The Superman: Doomsday movie looks like it's going to be pretty awesome, but it's not going to be in continuity with the animated series. Some of the Bruce Timm designs are supposed to be slightly altered but they still look kind of the same, except I didn't really like how they did Lois in this one cause I think her design on the show was much more attractive.

This will also be rated PG-13 and it's going to be more mature than all the other ones. I doubt even Batman: Mask of the Phantasm will be that dark compared to this.

Batman : Mask of the Phantasm

I saw a small piece off that one on cartoon network.

          Who was the Phantasm???????

It was Andrea Beaumont, Bruce Wayne's old love interest. (SPOILER ALERT!)

That's who the Phantasm really was!

              Damn!

She was kicking his gluteus maximus all over the place.

Mask of the Phantasm is one of the most underrated Batman movies. I loved it.

Yes, I remember Doomsday. I had his first appearance in the comics. On the cover of it, some of the DC superheroes' skin was melting off and it revealed their skeletons underneath.

I also have the Death of Superman, and all the Funeral For A Friend series.

I hated when they began to equally divide Superman's powers among the ordinary people of Metropolis. Like one guy was the "Man of Steel" and he was actually made of metal and their was a young kid who also got part of Superman's powers.

Then they return Superman just like nothing had ever happened to him...

                        Check out this picture...

Oh damn, that's an awesome piece. My only complaint, Superman looks like he's wondering if the coffee pot is on or not.

Doomsday also appeared in an episode of Justice League Unlimited where he and Superman had a fight in a volcano. I was watching that episode and thinking "This is it... Superman's gonna die!" and to my surprise, he doesn't.

So I guess that's what the new movie is for.

                                Can he be defeated?

Yes, but not in the same way. Doomsday has been genetically altered to adapt to whatever defeats him. Like he was hit with a sonic boom. That disorientated him. The next time it was tried, he'd grown bones in his eardrums to block it. He was created by Kryptonian scientists millions of years ago. He's got a very cool origin story.

                                    I read his origin story.

                                    WOW!

That alone would make a good Live Action Movie.

Yeah, but actually hard to do. And so many "special interest" groups would bitch about the throwing the fetus and infant into the world to get slaughtered.

                                        Dang it!

There goes a good movie down the drain.
