anyone remember this toy? I still have one.. still working
whats strange is I wanted a furby for months..finally got one
was bored hours later and put it away in the box and never played with it again

I have forgotten all about furbys! I had one to, I wonder what happened to it.
i remember furby and when i found the broken remains of one on a driveway. i knew it would get boring after they started repeating its self
I remember furbies , because my mom still has one, how about she took out the batteries and as proof me and my mom can both tell you it still spoke! Scary as heck because we didn't expect it to. FURBIES WILL RULE THE WORLD ONCE MORE!!!, Watch I bet ya they will.
Furby war one of my favorite toys ever! I had a special edition Christmas Furby, and 2 friends of Furby: Gizmo and Shelby.

The toy that looked liked Gizmo lol. Yes I remember this toy it was so ugly my sister had got one for Christmas that year. What was so special about those things anyway?

Furby suked...
There was no point to it at all. All it did was talk non-stop...at least with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers action figures (:D ), you could improvise and use your imagination.

I remember they would sell Furby knock-offs called Lurby's or something in truck stops when the Furby was popular. I don't really know anyone that was crazy over it though.
I got a Furby for Christmas the year that is was the must have toy. I didnt even want one. I had heard of them, but didnt really know what they were and didnt care. But I got one anyway. :)
Mine is currently under my bed with the batteries taken out because I couldnt get it to shut up. That was years ago, but it has stayed under my bed ever since.

Didn't Furbys make a brief comeback like, last year or the year before? I'm pretty sure they did.
Oh and yeah, I did receive one back in Christmas '98, only due to my commenting on how cute I thought they looked giving my sister the false impression that I actually wanted one as a gift. I accepted it, but nevertheless it was also the last time I let her do the 'surprise gift' thing.

I used to have two of them. They were so annoying that my mother told me to get rid of them. So I took them to the rifle range and by the time everybody was finished shooting at them, I was only able to find one battery cover and one eyeball. There was some cheering when we were finished. :D

Oh my GOD, this happned to me too. I was getting annoyed with the whole "Me hungee" bit one night, so I decided to remove the batteries. After I removed them, it's eyes shut briefly and it turned off. No more than 10 seconds later, the eyes re-opened, the mouth opened as well, and it let out this high-pitched wailing noise for about 3 minutes straight. Creepiest thing EVER! I threw it under the pillow and waited for it to stop, which it eventually did...Still, woah.
Does anyone remember an episode of Arthur that played on the Furby craze? They had these things called "Woogles", which were in....lol....

you can still search them out on ebay selling for way less than the 100 bucks my ex paid for 1 Furby (who the hell came up with the name Furby anyway?)
My sister HAD! a furby, she got older and didnt care 4 it, so i taped aload of fireworks around it and watched it fly and when we finally found it,it wasnt as furry as before.
I hate all furbies! My daughter got one as a gift and it wont stop making wierd sounds...and it is stupid (gremlins rip off)
