Remember slap bracelets?
I remember that they were all the rage in the late 80s early 90s.
For those who can't remember them, they were a thin strip of metal that coiled up when slapped hard. They were usually covered with a colorful fabric (below).
WARNING: I remember one time I had a friend that took the fabric off of his to see what it looked like and it was nothing but a dull piece of thin metal. I think he cut himself with it. :eek:

they hurt as hell then you slap them fast, did cut myself alittle.

Yeah, they were banned in some schools, but I thought they were soooo cool.
I remember those! The ones I've seen were different designs. :)

I remember those too. They reminded me of the rubber bracelet fad that hit in the mid-80's.
you can still find them in some places!! i wanna get some!! HAHA!!:D
I have two of the slap bracelets somewhere.

Hehe, me too. I had one in the third grade, and I remember my teacher threatening to take it.

Slap bracelets were banned at my middle school. One girl cut herself with it and she was bleeding so badly, she had to be sent to the hospital and that's why the principal banned them permanently.

Slap bracelets are cool. But what I really remember were those spring shaped shoe laces. We used to trade and collect those at school. Do you know what I'm talking about? The ones you didn't have to tie. :)
