who remembers Barbie and the rockers? I just remembered them. I had 4 of the dolls and watched the cartoon on tv.any one eles have one?

My older sister had the dolls, she gave me three of them and she gives Barbie to my younger sister. :( I wanted to have Barbie because she was wearing transparent heels, just like Cinderella. My little sister also had the Rockers tape but she recorded over it. :mad:

I'd like to hear them sing "Barbir Girl" or have a YouTube video with someone using the Rockers and have them play "Barbie Girl".

Oh, you mean Mattel's rip-off of Jem and the Holograms? I try not to think about it.

I never had the dolls but I have 2 coloring books of them.

I had 'em all, including the very... stylish Ken with the real hair and the shiny silver coat. Had the cassette tape, and this thing that you put the dolls legs in and moved a lever and they'd "dance".

I had some werid sparkly guitars for two of the dolls, and I remember the Asian doll (Dee Dee or Diva, can't remember which) had a TOTALLY RAD white jacket with rainbow triangles.

As for ripping off Jem, I think Barbie and the Rockers was 1985 or so whereas Jem was 1986. No matter- every toy is a rip off of another, isn't it? I mean I bear no ill will against GO BOTS, or anything. I'm sure Jem and The Holograms and Barbie and the Rockers partied hardy with each other after shows...trashed hotel rooms and got wasted...come on, it was the 80's! It was ALIVE!

I had Dana - blue pants, orange shoes, black hair and colorful jacket. Or something like that. Anyway, it was Spring 1987 when my parents bought her for me. Jem was 1985.

I have the Paper Dolls (they're not looking so great anymore) and the band set for the dolls (drum, trumpet, keyboard, etc).

I loved this movie and it always reminds me of my childhood.
Does anyone know where I could get the songs from the movie?
I found a Jem website that had them but they were through RealPlayer so i couldn't download them :(

I'd appreciate any feedback.
BTW I loved Kens "real" hair :o
