No matter if you saw it in a theater or on television, December is known for movies that have nothing to do with the holidays.
Here's an example.
The first time I saw the 1968 film, "The Power", was December 1973. It's an unusual/strange sort of sci-fi whodunit starring Suzanne Pleshette and George Hamilton as members of a research laboratory.
During a routine committee meeting, it is revealed that someone at the lab has psychic abilities far beyond the average human - mental powers enough to control people against their wills.
"The Power" is an interesting MGM film that doesn't get much attention but it has some neat stop-motion effects by Pete Kleinow. Here is a clip of the committee meeting scene where you get to meet all the staff (victims) at the research lab. Listen to them now because the psychic master spends most of the film killing colleagues before anyone has a chance to warn an unsuspecting world:
