Remember when nickelodeon, disney, and cn was good? Now they just suck, lets go through and overview.[DISNEY][CHANNEL]:I don't even watch this channel. It was OK back in the 90's,but what is it now?One of the worst channels out there. All it shows is tween crap (No offence),witch is not disney-related.Also toon disney sucks too,are classics start to early in the morning or too late at night.Want to know why?JETIX!Or should i say CRUDIX.Adventures of jacky chan is the only thing worth watching on jetix. But shows like "Get Ed" and "Power rangers" just suck.[NICKELODEON]:Sucks too.Its linup is the same thing over and over again. It seems like when each shows passes,it gets worse. And in nick at nite it gets more worse,1 hour marothons of rosenburg and full house. If nickeloden takes of nick at nite mabye they will get better. And takeing off that crappy program,Teenick.Or should i say,TEEN ICK![CARTOONNETWORK]:To be honest the channel hasen't been strugiling to make good shows. But there is some shows that suck.Cartoons like class of 3000 are complete garbage. The only thing i watch on the network is ed edd n eddy and adult swim,Witch are the best. But there is still some crappy stuff.Well thats all i have to say.Bye!:)

i have to agree but i can add 2 more channles who went from good to crap

first one and the only 1 of the 2 who should be on this site is YTV they use to be the best with great shows and contests and their hoilday lineups were one of the best part of easter/halloween/xmas and so on but now their not even trying they just add stuff like malcolm in the middle and futurama for there new fall shows how many times can they air the first 20 episodes of a series ive seen 3 years ago?

the other channle whos fell is teletoon they started out pretty good airing bugs bunny cartoons tiny toons and dragon ball z but now they air shows that i swear every other channle turned down and only reason they have it because there a 24/7 cartoon channle coconut fred's fruit saled island total drama island my gym partner is a monkey also i think their late night shows are starting to look like they were made with a 57$ budget

Another one is A&E. It's gone from being a fairly highbrow channel to catering to nose pickers and mouth breathers. The network has become basically nothing more than "reality" tv and murder investigation shows.

MTV/ Much Music/ Much More Music - These channels are dead to me, dead!

Bravo Canada - Used to have so many good movies and specials, and also occasionly some pretty erotic material. They've gotten so whimpy and bland lately, like they've been neutered or something.

A&E - I agree, this channel was once great, (their spinoff channel The Biography Channel is still decent) now every time I turn it on they're showing Dog the Bounty Hunter which to me is neither art or entertainment.

FOX-I used to love this station a lot. It used to be edgy and fun and very little reality TV was there. Maybe a few bad shows here and there but overall it was excellent. Now it's mostly reality TV or shows that don't last long.

Aw, come on, they still show "Seinfield" and "The Simpsons". As long as those ones are on, I'm happy. Plus, you've got "South Park", "MAD TV", and "Family Guy" on there too!

You should see what I wrote for those stations.

And don't forget, CN has Boomerang!

One channel I have to talk about now is Nicktoons Network. It was SUCH a awesome channel the day it first came on the air. They had classics like Doug, Rocko and Ren & Stimpy along with the other stuff like Spongebob, Fairly Oddparents and ZIM (and even Pinky and The Brain!!!). :D But then one day they went off the air and had a timer on for the changes they were making, and when they finally came back on they gave us a bunch of total weirdness with machines and the "Three Headed Monster" and whatnot. Not only that, but lately shows like Angry Beavers, Ren & Stimpy and ZIM have been disappearing, and now they have a bunch of junk that I feel aren't even worthy of the title Nicktoons...

Kappa Mikey: Seen parts of it here and there, but I've seen better.

Martin Mystery: Seems more like something that should have been on Cartoon Network like Totally Spies! (both made by the same people)

Skyland: The minute I saw the previews for this, I knew that I hated it. All this futuristic, CGI stuff couldn't feel any less like a real Nicktoon.

Also the people running the channel seem to be very lazy. All they do is show the same stuff during every break, some of which needs to be updated now since they still have Nicktoons that they're refusing to show, and the stuff with the Nicktoon cutouts and staff in costumes gets old really quick.

So if you think Nick's bad off now, believe me... Nicktoons Network is worse!

I'll cast a vote for VH-1. Everyone talks about the fall of MTV, but VH-1 used to have nice long blocks of music videos, followed by shows about music. It's like Homer Simpson said: "MTV for the kids, VH-1 for us."

Then the higher-ups decided E! just wasn't enough for celebrity, so say bye-bye to CardioVideo and anything even remotely related to music. Seriously, why don't they just merge these channels into "CelebriTV"?

Though not a channel meant for kids HBO has gone to the crapper. They show more "original programming" then they do movies. MTV went to the crapper years ago as well.

I long for the time when HBO used to show movies and MTV music videos.

Cartoon Network with the exception of a few cartoons is nowadays the biggest piece of crap going on TV.

WHAT?! Disney Channel's last place?! They spit on the old stuff and turned themselves into VH1Jr for Christ's sakes! I've gone on a permanent ban of their stuff now...except their old animated DVDs of course.
They won't even release Gargoyles Volume 2 and they act like it never existed. I mean, spitting all over a masterpiece like that? I won't take it anymore and I'm gonna sit my ban out.

P.S. Now I know CN and Nick have gone downhill..."My Gym Partner's a Monkey", WTH is wrong with children and their brain dead parents these days?!...but Disney *clears throat* VH1 Jr. is not what it should be!

I'll throw in the VH-1, MTV, and the Family Channel (I dunno if they are still around)...

The Family Channel rocked, they had all the Nintendo cartoons and The Littles, and occasionally a good movie or two. Now where are they?

VH-1, I used to watch it even when it was scrambled and all I could do was listen to the audio. I remember when they had "What Ever Happened To" with Corey Glover of "in Living Color" (The band, not the TV Show), and when they played music videos and did'nt have all that damn Diva/Drama/Scandal bull going on. Back when they played the good ole' 80's vids all the time mixed in with the newer stuff.

MTV, it started dying shortly after Kurt Cobain did. I remember watching Beavis and Butthead, seeing the cutting edge with Kennedy for the VJ, tribue to Nirvana in the wee hours of the morning before Aeon Flux and Speed Racer. Ah, those were the days....of Offspring and Soundgarden. Now I can't stomach 5 minutes of their crap. It's all real world and rap vids and constant self affirmationns of being "cool", with maybe a shard of music intersped in between.

They ALL suck! All the stations do- they follow a cookie cutter format of making shows, a recipie if you will- and all the stations, "children's" programming included follow it. The teen/tween shows are nothing more than borderline kiddie porn, soap opera jr. Things that when I was 10, I really didn't think about at all! Seriously- the first serious shows I watched of that caliber were "Fifteen" and "My So Called Life" and that was when I was 15 or so.

Now ya got your 10 year olds- hell, my SIX year old cousin doesn't play with Barbies, she sits and watches Disney, Nick and the rest of the latrine worthy drivel they're selling our kids. She imagines she's making out with Zack or Cody or whoever they are.

MTV? It's all porn! It's glamorizing a lifestyle that leads straight to the grave... VH-1? I DON'T F-ING CARE ABOUT BRITTNEY SPEAR'S MESSED UP LIFE!!

I was watching some bumpers for MTV on RJ here- and there were ACTUAL musicians plugging MTV. They were talking about ACTUAL BANDS AND MUSIC!! Not about frat boys and how much they can get laid! And the manufactured problems they can present pretty people with.

Nickelodeon? PC bilingual crap. How is Sponge Bob educational? Why is he on Nick Jr?

Illustration: When I was 8 I would sit out by this tree on the playground at school. It had a huge hole in it, and I knew that a gnome lived there (like David the friggin Gnome!) I beleived in magic.

Illustration Q: Jane 8 year old comes in wearing low rise jeans, a high school musical tee shirt and listening to her iPod, reading Seventeen and is an INSOLENT LITTLE SNOT who cares about boys and fashion and making out more than that big pink blob in her cranium called her brain and all the wonderous thinks it can think!!

I have got another channel that went from good to crap:

G4-I know I know. Its not retro, but this was a great station for video games, until they "revamped" it and now they only show X-Play and Cinematech as video game shows. Everything else they show, such as Cops, Totatlly Outrageous Behavoir, and Cheaters is garbage.

Here's my canadates of formerly good channels.

Boomerang-it played great classic cartoons from the 30s through the 80s then some time, they started playing 90s shit. too early to be playing that on Boom. Cartoon Network can reduce the times they play crap like Squirrel Boy and put all of this shit on CN so they play more classic cartoons on Boom. They shall buy the rights to several other cartoons because I feel there's a lack of variety on Boomerang.

Cartoon Network-lack of variety, they play the same shows over and over again. I'm sick of Gym Partner, Ed, Edd n Eddy and Billy and Mandy, let's play other stuff for once. Classic cartoons, classic anime, some thing else for a change. Once shows get cancelled, rotate them out and release them on DVD.

MTV/VH1-both channels barely play music videos anymore, just a bunch of shitty reality shows or some other lame crap that have nothing to do with music.

I don't get why people think Nickelodeon was good, it was never good to begin with and I may be the only one who never liked Nickelodeon. Crap cartoons, crap shows, the only good thing that was good about it was Nick at Nite until they fucked that up and started playing crappy shows like Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Full House and I believe they still play those on local stations.

                                Wow, angry much??

Personally, I think that Nickelodeon changed dramatically after the 90s. It's not the same anymore and we have the madia to thank for that, telling us what's popular and what's not. I still don't get it.

I rarely watch Cartoon Network anymore with the exception of Toonami, and that too changed drastically since it's premier in 1997. Hell, both Toonami and Adult Swim changed, but in all my honesty, I enjoy those a lot more than what's out there. "My Gym Partner is a Monkey"?? If you ask me, I think that Tom Kenney should retire from Voice Acting for good. I think his voice acting has deteriorated in the post 2004 episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants. Just listen to how bad SpongeBob sounds now compared to earlier episodes.

Disney channel is better than Nick and CN.

Nickelodeon- They play only 2 shows a day: Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents with the worst episodes. Should we say, Hurricane Mitch ruined the channel?

Disney Channel- Became all preteen crap in 2001 shortly after Hurricane Keith.

Cartoon Network- They usually play Tom and Jerry at some times, but never really. I bet Hurricane Isabel has something to do with this. A hurricane of episodes of Pokemon play for half of the day for some reason. I only watch it because of Adult Swim.

I remember back in the early 90's I loved the Disney Channel. We would get like a two week sample of the channel every year, and I loved those days. The only show I can remember was called "Under the Umbrella Tree". I loved that one. Anyone else remember any other shows that were on?
I used to love Nickelodeon too, with Doug (personal favorite) and Are you Afraid of the Dark?, etc. I also liked Nick Jr. with Eureeka's Castle and David the Gnome.
I never really watched Cartoon Network, it never really appealed to me I guess.
I would have to say Nickelodeon is the best these days just because Drake and Josh is pretty good.
