Did anyone ever go to the airport as a kid and watch the planes ? my dad took me all the time we were there all day it was fun

Not as a child, but there's an airplane park where you can watch the airplanes overhead as they are landing. It's pretty cool.

I loved going to the airport when I was a kid! My mom would take me and my brother there when we were on summer vacation or a holiday, and we used to look at the departure lists and pretend we were going on vacation. I liked riding on the moving walkways in the terminal.

My family only went to the airport when we were actually flying somewhere. Back in the 80's pilots were still cool with letting kids see the flight deck. I always looked pretty forward to flying somewhere in the old day, my dad would let everyone get a treat like a coloring book or a magazine or two and I would make mix tapes for my walkman on 90 and 100 minute tapes.
