I am trying to remember these 2 types of action figures I used to play with in the early 90s. One of them involved small plastic figures that came in pouches. When you bought them you didn't know what you were gonna get inside. Once you took them out of their package you had to submerge the pouch in water and once it dissolved a small random figure would emerge (usually some sort of monster). The second set of toys were monster trucks that opened up in the center to reveal teeth.

I remember the first one(I had some) but the name escapes me for the moment. Unles some one beets me to it i'll tell you later. The second one might have a commercail on here.

The great part about the tape is the commercials in between. Growing up in Pittsburgh I see a commercial for I.C. (Iron City) Light (Hey! Gimme an I. C. Light..), Dannon Light 'n' Lively 6-pack, White Mountain Wine cooler, and Swatch watches.
