I have been searching like crazy for a tv special from my childhood-I think I remember watching it "every year" around Halloween time.

It was done in a high-artistic style and was very mature (or at least seemd so to me) it involved this boy/guy and girl and a ball on Halloween they were either going to or running from. The Devil wanted the girl's soul--it had funkadelic soundtrack and I think some suggestive dancing/choreography and scenes.

I believe the Devil captures her towards the end and is going to kiss her/marry her/rape her (can't remember what) and the guy rescues her.

I thought it was called Demon's Ball or Devil's Ball or Midnight Ball--but I cannot find any information anywhere--except the French puppet movie from the teens/20's called Devil's Ball--but this is not that.

the style was similar to Peter Maxx or The Point--but the content was rather adult--I believe it aired on CBS.

Any help or leads or even someone else who knows what I am talking about would be great.

AND YES--I read the newbie post and did 5 different searches before posting. :)

    The Devil and Daniel Mouse

A young lady mouse in a struggling folk music duo decides to make a deal with a shady agent B.L. Zebubb. He promises to take her to the top,...for a price. She leaves her boyfriend behind and sings for her new manager, until he decides it's time to collect his due. Her boyfriend finds her in the nick of time and challenges the devils claim to her soul. This cartoon special could be said to be the inspiration for the later movie by Nelvana, Rock and Rule)

      brilliant brilliant BRILLIANT

The ending song is on youtube, although the movie itself has been removed.

but here is the ending song--exactly what I was looking for. I have been looking for this for years--didn't realize how cartoon-y it was, but I was also 5 years old so I guess it semed much more "adult" back then.

Thanks so much--how you were able to figure out this movie from my limited description???

here is teh youtue song. :)

      brilliant,, and thanks!!!!!
