So yeah last night I had the retro fever and wound up going all around town looking in thrift shops and going through all kinds of who's-its and what's-its. Found all kinds of great items, like some old rock records, Van Halen, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin (of course), etc.

As for covering my retro music needs...
Although I didn't pick up any records, I did get some pretty cool posters to finally improve the scenery a little around the house. 1 Jimi Hendrix, 1 Rolling Stone Cover: Jim Morison, and 1 black light sensitive Led Zeppelin. I also picked up one of The Who CDs, a 4 Disc Ramones special box set with interviews, like 64 performances around the world, a book, pictures, all that shit. It is absolutely bad ass.

retro candy, remember those little chewable wax bottles with the sweet juice inside and you bite the top off, swallow down the juice and chew up the bottle, I found some at the dollar store.

You guys haven't heard the best yet
I also stopped at Wal-Mart and they had old cartoon classics, probably 2 hours worth of loony toons, some instrumental classics, some popeye, u know, the good stuff. I got 3 of those, only a BUCK each.

Then you wouldn't believe what else I found, Dot and the Whale, and it was in the dollar movie section hahah! I was just asking about that movie here only a week ago and I find it in the dollar movie section!

Also, about 3 or 4 days ago I was telling my g/f about this old old version of The Jungle Book (before the cartoon). Low and Behold, I go to a dollar store and find THAT sitting RIGHT NEXT to 4 volumes, all a dollar each mind you, of Davey and Goliath. Oh my God I was in Heaven last night.

I got so much stuff to look at and listen to this weekend - anyone having similar experiences lately?

Bremerton has an assload of vintiage stores and such. Its cool, but kind of sickening at the same time.
