Since my post was extensive, I cut it for time sake!

Nice. Also, I didn't know that Dairugger was part of Voltron. I just thought it was Go-Lion.
I thought so too, having not known that for the longest until I read up on it in a book called
The Complete Anime Guide a decade ago. Gave me everything I needed to know of the past and present (at least by the mid 90's standards).
Though, look at how many of those titles were shown in the 80s. Most people here probably grew up with them. So how come so many of those same people hate anime? :?
I don't know! A weird reflex of knowing the truth, or is it the younger crowd whom only ever see what is shown and not the good stuff or what anime if often noted of being beyond that. I personally wish "Future Boy Conan" got aired on Nick in the mid 80's as I felt that fit in perfectly alongside Belle & Sebastian or Mysterious Cities of Gold.
In my haste of putting together this list, one show I forgot about the longest, but one I had watched too is "The Adventures of The Little Prince" (orig. title: Hoshi no Ojisama Petit Prince). Your avatar reminded me shiroihikari since the character designer on Gundam also worked on this show (Yoshikazu Yasuhiko)! Here's the Japanese opening to this series with quite a nifty tune!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FYj3TbY8V4Oh yeah, and I don't think anyone has mentioned Superbook or The Flying House yet. I used to watch those shows all the time when I was little. I think they were aired on TBN.
Originally, they were produced and aired on CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network), but had aired on other channels internationally over the past 25 years. Wiki has some good info on how this show came about in the first place, though the official Superbook webpage also ha some behind-the-scenes of how the show was made and aired.
