I can remember a while back, early 90's, there was a toy brand that was similar to Lego and Playmobil. Each set came with a figure, a vehicle, a section of slotted road and a building.

You could buy the sets and put them all together to build a giant city or a small town. The cool thing though was that even if you couldn't take the roads, buildings and cars appart they could be placed freely, like Lego.

I really wish I could remember this toy!

Better Blocks, perhaps?

No, It wasn't Better Blocks. You couldn't take appart the buildings or the figures. The cars were once peice as well.

The roads however could be connected to the other playsets so the vehicles could travel along the tracks.

Mega Bloks? If not, then it's some nameless brand that has been lost to the ages, because I can't remember it. I may even have some of the stuff. Was it semi-compatible with Legos?

Yeah that list isn't quite complete. There's a few things missing. But it's still a good start. We all know already that wikipedia is a friend of information, not the god of information.

Ha Ha, I remember some of these toys but sadly none of them are what I'm looking for. Let me draw up something and I'll get back to this.
