I was reminded the other day of a one-pic mockery of a children's storybook featuring a rabbit-woman covering her chest and looking angry. The title was "Pat The Bunny...And She'll Sue!" Anybody remember this? It was either in Cracked or Mad Magazine, sometime in '93, I think.

I don't remember that but I do have MAD Magazines from the 90's though. I somehow lost a few of them and am going to a few comic books here and there to buy some back.

I used to have a best of rock, punk, pop and metal parodies issue of Mad, I wish I still had that. I bet e-bay has copies. I also used to have a sepcial issue with nothing but movie parodies, that was from the early 90's. I do still have one special issue, Pop Off Video which took screen caps from real music videos, had graphics that looked like the ones from Pop Up Video but all the captions made fun of the videos, songs and artists. It's great. I remember I passed it around on the coach bus one time during a school band trip and everybody was in hysterics.

Right here! I just loved how they lampooned popular culture in funny and interesting ways!

Cracked was nothing short of a cheap imitation of mad magazine.

I have maybe 5 issues of each from the late 90's. I enjoyed both.

My favorite was the MAD paperbacks. I remember my first one, MAD Barfs, and I had lent it to the recess monitor in grade school and never got it back. It wasn't until years later that I bought it from a Canadian seller on eBay that I got it back.

I remember bringing an issue to my Grandma's house and sharing with my friends there. I distinctly remember some of the lines used in the parody of "Gremlins". 20 years later a different buddy of mine had given me a lot of his old issues, with one of them having that Gremlins parody. Man, I was in heaven, haha.

*raises hand* I had a few issues (even at nine, I was thrifty enough to read the mags in the store to avoid buying them), but sadly they got thrown away by relatives because I was 'too old for comic books'.

I think my favorite issue was the one poking fun at "A Bug's Life" and "Antz" - I believe that was also the issue with the 'ultimate guide to insults', which was just a bloody work of art. I miss those old issues.

Being reminded they ran Cracked into the ground once they turned it into a Spy clone a couple years ago. Mad Magazine on the other hand is still slugging along though I wish it was what it had been in my youth.

I remember that, the paraody of children's books was in Cracked magazine but I think it was around 1997 because I remember a parody of Men in Black was on that cover.

I was a bg Mad fan Cracked not so much just a poor imitation in my opinion. I do think the mag has been on a decline but it still has its funny moments.

I was a big fan of Mad pretty much as soon as I learned to read and continued to be up through middle school or so. Last I knew, there's still a box full of old Mads and Crackeds from 1989 to about 1992 in my parents' attic. Yes, Mad was the classic magazine, but Cracked had its charms, too. I liked the monster issues they had every now and again, with the Uggly Family and Nanny Dickering's interviews. Don Martin, who was one of my favorite Mad comic writers and artists, went to Cracked for awhile, too.

                          What more can we do?"

I lived for Mad in the early 90s. It was a very happy day when the library got the newest copy. I would laugh myself silly digesting almost everything on every page.

My favorite cover, when I was a kid, was this one from July 92. I just for some reason could not stop laughing.

My fiance and I were reading two Cracked magazines in the car today. We got them from a St. Vicent De Paul's and they're from like, 90 or something. The Alfred E. Neuman wannabe makes me think of Dutch people...

I remember a boy in my 2nd grade class had that issue. Back then I thought it was gross, but now I think it's funny. I have an old Cracked issue from 1993 it's a Power Rangers parody one.

You called?! I had a subscription which began during my sixth grade year and ended during my junior year of High School. I have every issue from Jan 1997-March 2002. I also read Cracked from time to time.

My favorite was always "The Lighter Side" sections.

I also had this one Mad that had a little comic of a fisherman who caught a mermaid. He brought her home and her family was so excited and fell in love with her. Well I think the family went somewhere and when they came back the grandma was cooking a big pot of soup..with a mermaid tail sticking out of it LOL
