Hi, I am looking for the name of a movie I saw maybe about 5 or 8 years ago, I believe its a 90's movie but I can remember the name. Its based on the jack and beanstalk story but with a modern twist. I remember that the main character goes up a beanstalk to find the giant living in a house and its like I think he runs into a bug trap, and other house hold stuff. I remember the giant has hair and looks like a modern person but just huge and ugly with moles and stuff on his face. Other than that the ending I remember that some how knocked down or destroyed the beanstalk but I do remember that there was a girl character who was a scientist who played a big role.

was it Jim Henson's "Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story"? it was just on tv a couple weeks ago, its pretty good

It was not that one I just am watching it right now on the tv and, I remember that the giant was in a house like a regular house and had a wife, But I do remember that the look of the giant was normal for the most part hair, regular clothes, and ugly skin that was dark. I also know the setting in of the present and not some time in the past.
