I would have to say neither. I think Riff Raff Was The Best Cat Out Of them, even though he was the leader of the Cadillac Cats witch was on Heathcliff i think Riff Raff and the Cadillac Cats should have had there own show!
I'm a Garfield fan, loved how mean he was to odie. that cartoon had u.s. acres witch should have had it's own show too.
hmm.. i guess a tie. garfield is 10x more halarious, but has been living WAY too long. it should hurry up and die before it makes itself look even more stupid.
My vote goes to Garfield, though Heathcliff is pretty funny, too. :)

I was a huge Garfield fan. I read of the collections up to around the 24th book, and Garfield and Friends was a must watch Saturday morning show.
But I just one day stopped watching or reading. It no longer was funny anymore.

I liked both as a kid, in retrospect neither comic was that great. As we've seen though, Garfield strips become pretty hillarous when you take away Garfield. Garfield had better tv shows and sepcials in my opinion.
I like garfeild better, heathcliff just never really appealed to me.

They both are good for their own reasons.
Heathcliff was voiced by the legendary Mel Blanc, wasn't as lazy and was much more of a bully (seriously, remember that big dog? He was afraid of Heathcliff).
Garfield was voiced by the semi legend Lorenzo Music, was pure lazy, prideful, arrogant and a big pig. The way he picked on Jon & Odie was great though.
The tie breaker? Heathcliff wasn't made into one, but TWO awful movies nor was replaced by someone who couldn't do the right voice at all.

Garfield. I liked the way Garfield would kick odie off tables and beat him up the way he did, and would mail nermal to Abu Daube (?) Heathcliff was ok. But I wasnt exsposed to him as much. I saw his show allot but never realy saw his comics as much.

Riff Raff most definatly. I always wished he was shown more than Heathcliff.

I've always preferred Heathcliff over Garfield...but mostly because of the segments with Riff Raff and the junk yard cats.

Heathcliff for me, he could beat Garfield in a fight anyday but Riff Raff is cool. Will we ever see a playa in a kids Tv show again? Anyone seem that episode where he cheats on Cleo?
I loved the Garfield holiday specials....but I could never get into the Saturday morning cartoon. So my vote would go to Heathcliff.
