The changing definition of old school always throws me off. When I was growing up, old school rap was Run-DMC and Kurtis Blow and artists like that, but several years later, artists like solo Dr. Dre, early Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur became considered old school. We've now arrived at a time where Jay-Z and Eminem are considered old school. I think the reason why they call it old school is because it makes you feel old when the stuff you grew up with is filed away into the nostalgia cabinet.
