Yeah Giger is da man. Supposedly he keeps the skeleton of either a wife or former girlfriend that comitted suicide in his house. Very eccentric person but an excellant artist.
I read the story in al old Cinefantastique magazine when I was a kid and it's just one of those things that you read that sticks with you. I've seen some pics of the inside of his house and the dude has a lot of weird shit and I kept looking for skeletons and what not. For years there has been talk of doing a bio-documentary on his life.
I do know that when he was working on Alien his then girlfriend made a documentary with a a handheld camera and I'd love to see this but I don't remember if it's on the Quadrilogy or not.

Hans Reudi Giger is one of the post modern greats. I love his work in the Alien films and his painting entitled, "The Birth Machine" is genius.
Giger is the man! I have a poster of "The Island" framed on my wall. One day, when I can afford it, I want to get it tattooed on my back.
