This guy is one of my favorite artists. His art combines machinery and flesh into a creepy dark form, he is also the man behind the art for alien, I think he also did some creature affects for poltergeist 2. There were some games molded after his art called darkseed and darkseed 2.

Yeah Giger is da man. Supposedly he keeps the skeleton of either a wife or former girlfriend that comitted suicide in his house. Very eccentric person but an excellant artist.

I read the story in al old Cinefantastique magazine when I was a kid and it's just one of those things that you read that sticks with you. I've seen some pics of the inside of his house and the dude has a lot of weird shit and I kept looking for skeletons and what not. For years there has been talk of doing a bio-documentary on his life.
I do know that when he was working on Alien his then girlfriend made a documentary with a a handheld camera and I'd love to see this but I don't remember if it's on the Quadrilogy or not.
