Waking up in the huge water bed, the smell of pancakes and bacon in the air, just to get up and see Muppet Babies, before getting pissed off/deathly frightened by Pee Wee's show, either that or Soul Train would come on....TV changes to Antenna B, and the Atari 2600 games begin, usually Super Breakout, Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Adventure, and Pitfall.

I think the same memories most other kids in the 70s/80s/early 90s had, waking up early and watching cartoons nonstop until 11 am or 12 pm while eating sugary cereals.

Hanging out with friends, playing video games, watching TV, playing around outside.

                  Good times.

i dont have anything specific i can remember right now, but i always fondly remember waking up at 6 in the morning, and quietly sneaking out to the kitchen, making a bowl of cereal w/ TONS of sugar dumped on it, and watching cartoons for another hour or 2 before anyone else got up. i would always wake up right at 6. and id always be a lil disappointed if my mom or dad were up early. that was MY time. but, my mom always made pancakes, waffles, french toast or dutch baby pancakes on saturday, so it wasnt that bad.

I would have to say waking up and watching Cartoons like everyone else who grew up in the 80s & 90s. The middle of the day I was either at the mall in the 90's or watching a movie on Commander USA's Groovy moives. Around 6pm it was straight Nickelodeon time in the 80's with YCDOTV, Double Dare and Danger mouse and then in the 90's with Nicktoons and snick. When all those shows went off I would flip back and forth from Usa Up All night to TNT's monstervision or in the 80's watching USA Saturday Nightmares and Night Flight

Waking up to the smell of bacon, sausage, eggs and those square frozen hashbrowns cooking in the kitchen. Watching Muppet Babies, Pee Wee's Playhouse, etc. Playing Barbie's with my best friend. Possibly going to the mall or the movies later in the afternoon. I DO remember playing outside. I was always more of an indoor kid but I know that I played outside more than alot of kids do today. Then the evening was spent watching Snick. And if we could get through are you Are you Afraid Of The Dark? without being scared than we would stay up a little later and watch Tales From The Crypt.

I think, whether you were a kid in the 70's, 80's, or 90's it is virtually the same. My childhood was the early to mid 70's and I would wake up early, eat a sugary cereal and watch scooby-doo, speed buggy, hong kong phooey, wheelie and the chopper bunch, shazaam!, land of the lost and many more. By 11am I would be heading out the door to ride my big wheel or bike. Probably pretty close to the same as anyone else. except kids who are playing their video games...I did'nt have that.

Hmm, don't know about best, but my most vivid memories about satudays are from the mornings.

Late 80s, early 90s: I'd be in bed, enjoying not having to get up early for school when suddenly my room door would fly open and the sound of Queen or Sweet blasted in from the livingroom Hi-Fi.
This signalled Mother was doing her Spring cleaning, which she did most Saturdays. She would open my curtains and window, tell me to get up and then disappear.
In the summer this was not so bad, but she'd do it in autumn and winter too, which meant my room became an icebox in .3 of a second!

Fond memories though :) This usualy meant I had had a wash, breakfast and was out of the door by 9am, not to return till 5pm or so.

I remeber that time. I acually liked Pee-Wee's playhouse, but once soul train and the sports started comming on I was playing games too. Or I was outside playing if it wasn't too hot.

Hmm... I would probably have to say watching cartoons. That was how my best Saturdays went. And then maybe hanging out with friends after.
And with that, I'm gone with the shadows...
