Roar was Fox's way of cashing in on the popularity of Hercules and Xena. I never liked those two shows but I loved Roar. I watched the show all summer long, in 97. It wasn't as cheesy as Hercules and Xena but it was no serious drama either.
It did not last long, it never even go to finish the season. I remember that the last episode of the season was never shown because Princess Diana died and there was news coverage all night taking up Roars time slot.
It came out on DVD last year. I knew it would Heath Ledger gained a lot of fame for Brokeback Mountain.
I think another reason why I was so into the show was because I was anticipating Zelda 64 to come out that Fall, only to be pushed back for another year.
I enjoy the show and it always brings back memories watching it. Did anyone else enjoy this show?

Yeah it was pretty good. Too bad it didn't last that long. But Hercules and Xena were good too until towards the end it seemed like they started running out of ideas. Anyway Roar comes on every once in a while on the Sci-fi channel.
